How to clean wooden floors

Wood flooring is divided into reinforced flooring and solid wood flooring, and their cleaning and maintenance are different.

Cleaning and maintenance of reinforced flooring:

1. Ordinary laminated wood flooring should not be used as an auxiliary in kitchens and bathrooms;

2. After the completion of floor laying, it is necessary to maintain smooth indoor air flow;

3. After 12 hours of floor installation, personnel can move around and furniture can be moved and placed;

4. Overweight items should be placed in a balanced manner, and furniture and heavy objects should not be forcefully pushed, pulled, or dragged to avoid scratching the floor surface;

5. Prohibit using sharp tools to scrape or scratch the surface of the floor;

6. Avoid soaking the floor in water. In case of accidents, wipe the floor dry with a dry mop and ventilate it in a timely manner;

7. Prevent the floor from being baked by cooking utensils;

8. Keep the floor dry and clean. If there are stains on the floor surface, it is generally sufficient to wipe it dry with a non dripping damp mop. If stained with chocolate, oil, juice, beverages, etc., simply wipe with warm water and neutral detergent. If contaminated with lipstick, crayons, ink, etc., gently wipe with methanol alcohol or acetone.

Cleaning and maintenance of solid wood flooring:

1. The humidity in the room should not be too high, and the floor should be kept dry and smooth. Daily cleaning can be done by wiping with a wrung out cotton mop. If stubborn stains are encountered, neutral cleaning solvent should be used to wipe and then use a wrung out cotton mop to wipe. Do not use organic solvents such as acid, alkaline solvents, or gasoline to wipe.

2. During daily use, it is important to avoid scratching the floor with hard objects such as heavy metal sharps, glass tiles, and shoe nails; Do not drag or move furniture on the floor surface; Do not expose the floor to open flames or place high-power electric heaters directly on the floor; Prohibit placing strong acidic and alkaline substances on the floor^ Long periods of water immersion are prohibited.

3. In order to maintain the aesthetics of the solid wood floor and extend the service life of the paint surface, it is recommended to wax and maintain it twice a year. Before waxing, wipe the floor clean, then evenly apply a layer of floor wax on the surface. After drying slightly, wipe with a soft cloth until it is smooth and shiny.

4. If a large area of water immersion occurs accidentally or the bureau is soaked in water for a long time, if there is clear water retention, it should be promptly dried with a dry cloth and allowed to dry naturally. It is strictly prohibited to use an electric heater to dry or expose to sunlight.

5. Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or rapid temperature fluctuations in the room can cause premature aging of the paint surface of solid wood flooring, and should be avoided as much as possible.

6. If the installation site cannot be temporarily occupied, it is necessary to maintain indoor air circulation and not cover it with plastic paper or newspapers to prevent the surface paint film from sticking and losing its luster over time.

7. Regularly clean and vacuum the floor to prevent sand or frictional dust from accumulating and scraping the floor surface. A shoe mat can be placed outside the door to prevent sand or frictional dust from entering the room. When cleaning the floor, a wrung out cotton mop can be used to wipe it. Do not use wet mops or corrosive liquids (such as soapy water or gasoline) to wipe the floor.

8. If the outdoor humidity is higher than the indoor humidity, the doors and windows can be tightly closed to maintain a lower indoor humidity. If the outdoor humidity is lower than the indoor humidity, the doors and windows can be opened to reduce the indoor humidity. When encountering humid and hot weather, you can turn on the air conditioning or electric fan.

9. In order to increase indoor air humidity during the autumn and winter seasons, humidifiers can be used to maintain indoor air humidity at 50% -70%.

10. When moving furniture, it should not be pushed or pulled directly on the floor, but should be lifted and moved gently. Furniture that frequently moves can have a layer of rubber attached to its bottom.
